This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) users of a system outage.

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for inspections through the Biosecurity Portal using the ‘Sign in with your Digital ID’ (myID) pathway.
Approved arrangement operators attempting to access online reports of entries referred to the department for biosecurity assessment, or management under a class 19 Approved Arrangement, via the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST).

This notice affects importers of live plants (nursery stock), customs brokers and departmental staff.
13 January 2025
Importers and brokers who have imported or plan to import goods containing or derived from foot and mouth disease (FMD)-susceptible species (including cattle, sheep, pigs, deer, giraffe, elephants, camelids (alpacas, llamas and camel)) to Australia from Germany since 14 November 2024.
08 January 2025
All importers and customs brokers who are required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment.

As of: 12:45 Wednesday 08 January 2025 (AEDT).
The unplanned service disruption to the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) has been resolved. Clients can now submit lodgements as normal.
No action required. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
