Who does this notice affect?

Importers and customs brokers of live plant material with an end use as nursery stock.

What has changed?

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department) is implementing community protection (CP) questions on tariffs related to live plant material for use as nursery stock. This change is scheduled to take effect on 1 May 2021.

45-2021: Eastern Australian wet weather event: impact on biosecurity operations

Who does this notice affect?

All clients and industry stakeholders involved in imports whose inspection appointments may be affected by the current weather event across the eastern areas of Australia.

What has changed?

The current weather event and associated flooding continues to unfold.

A number of SES NSW evacuation orders and warnings have been issued across NSW which may impact the department’s ability to service affected areas.
