75-2021: Services Restored: COLS compatibility issues when using newer versions of web browsers

All importers and customs brokers who are required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment.

Information

A version update to Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge was preventing some Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) users from submitting lodgements using these browsers.

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, BICON users may experience several intermittent outages from 16:00 to 23:59 on Sunday 25 April 2021 (AEST).

Action

Users are advised to frequently save any in-progress permit applications during this maintenance period.

72-2021: Offshore Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) Treatment Providers Scheme: treatment provider suspension - Fumico Fumigations B.V. (NL4004SB)

Clients in the import and shipping industries—including freight forwarders, importers and customs brokers—associated with importing goods that require BMSB treatment during the BMSB risk season (goods shipped between 1 September 2020 that arrive in Australian territory by 31 May 2021 inclusive).

 

71-2021: Changes to the application category, charges, validity period and forms for nursery stock import permits

Who does this notice affect?

Importers of nursery stock (live plants) and approved arrangements, freight forwarders and customs brokers that deal with imported nursery stock.

What is changing?

The department will be changing the nursery stock import permit application category and assessment fees, extending the permit validity period and updating the application form for all nursery stock import permits.

69-2021: Scheduled Outage: Thursday 22 to Friday 23 April 2021 – MARS

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned outage.

Information

To support system maintenance, the Maritime Arrivals Reporting System (MARS) will be unavailable from 23:00 Thursday 22 April to 01:00 Friday 23 April 2021 (AEST).

Action

Clients are advised to await the completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access this service.
