USA stone fruit and cherries are transitioning to a supplier based model for the 2025 season.
The department is transitioning the current importer based scheme to a suppliers based model.

Importers and brokers of CBIS eligible:
The department is improving the CBIS eligibility by removing the ACC code on powdered plant product pathways and replacing it with new profile questions to improve the uptake of consignments qualifying for CBIS. These changes are scheduled to take effect on 3 April 2025.
A new guide on monitoring and evaluation processes for general surveillance programs is set to boost our biosecurity efforts.

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) users of a system change to client groups.
There has been a recent rise in detections of the exotic Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) by the department and state and territory governments, with over 26 active responses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
