Wheat Exports to Egypt

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to provide advice on the conditions for the export of wheat to Egypt.

AQIS has received advice from the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation that the comprehensive risk analysis on Australian wheat has been completed and a tolerance of 0.01% for ergot fungus species has been approved.

All wheat exported to the Arab Republic of Egypt is subject to the following conditions:

Market access for Eucalyptus grandis logs to India

The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service wishes to advise industry of the market access gain for Eucalyptus grandis logs without bark for export to India.

The final Indian Gazette notification published 24 December 2009 advises E. grandis "wood without bark" from Australia is permitted entry into India under the following conditions:
