Capsicum spp. fruit from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu

Import conditions for fresh chilli (Capsicum annum) fruit from Fiji have been published on our Biosecurity Import Conditions system (BICON). Import permits can now be issued.

The decision to commence imports will be a commercial decision between an exporter in Fiji and an importer in Australia. The importer must meet the import conditions as set out in BICON.

This Biosecurity Advice announces the formal commencement of the review of biosecurity import requirements for fresh Chinese jujube fruit (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) from China.

The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (the department) expects to release the draft report for public consultation in early 2019.
