Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) users of an unplanned outage.

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned maintenance period.

All clients submitting the below declarations:

  • Full Import Declaration (FID)
  • Long Form Self Assessed Clearance (LFSAC)
  • Short Form Self Assessed Clearance (SFSAC)
  • Cargo Report Self Assessed Clearance (CRSAC)
  • Cargo Report Personal Effects (PE)

All users of the Seasonal Pests (SeaPest) system.

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for inspections through the Biosecurity Portal using the ‘Sign in with your digital ID’ (myID) pathway.

Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment.

As of 09:05 Monday 23 September 2024 (AEST).

The Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, clients are unable to lodge new lodgements.

Action

This issue is being investigated as a priority and the department will advise once resolved.
