What has changed?

National Management Group Communiqué: Varroa destructor – 25 July 2024

The National Management Group (NMG) for Varroa destructor met on 25 July 2024 to consider an update on implementation of the National Transition to Management Response Plan (T2M Plan).

The NMG agreed to extend the timeframe for completing all activities to 9 February 2026, within the originally endorsed budget. This provides flexibility to ensure that activities can be timed to deliver the greatest benefit.

IAN 2024-34: NEXDOC – planned outage

Date of issue: 2 September 2024

Dates of effect: 4 and 12 September 2024

Attention:

Registered dairy exporters, manufacturers, agents, freight forwarders and approved export permit issuers.

Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) - Central and Regional offices.

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) users of planned outages.

193-2024: Scheduled Outage: Saturday 07 September 2024 – BICON

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned outage.

Information

To support system maintenance, BICON will be unavailable from 23:00 to 23:30 Saturday 07 September 2024 (AEST).

Action

Clients are advised to complete and submit any in-progress import permit applications prior to the commencement of this planned outage period.
