This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to remind industry of updates to raising new Request for Permits (RFPs) for horticulture or grain commodities and updates to plant export certificates.
As of Wednesday, 9 October 2024 the following updates to phytosanitary certification and RFPs will come into effect:

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise of an unplanned outage for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system.
To notify Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system users that NEXDOC will be impacted due to unplanned maintenance.
To ensure there is no disruption to your consignments, please do not lodge requests for exports (REXs) during 9.00pm - 11.00pm (AEST) Friday 4 October 2024.

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who will be required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal during this scheduled maintenance window.
Approved arrangements operators who will be required to view electronic government certificates (eCertificates) and relevant attachments online as part of document assessment for imported goods during this scheduled maintenance window.
