Purpose

This Market Access Advice (MAA) is to remind exporters the Special Egg Project, concerning the import of eggs and egg products for human consumption from Australia to Taiwan, ended on 30 June 2024.

184-2024: Update to the maritime vessel contacts in NSW

Who does this notice affect?

All vessel owners, operators, masters and shipping agents who represent international vessels arriving into NSW.

What has changed?

The department has revised the maritime vessel contact details for NSW on the Vessel Contacts webpage.

From 23 August 2024, emails sent to the previous email addresses will be forwarded to the new address for a period of up to two weeks. Stakeholders using the old email addresses will receive an auto reply advising them of the changes.

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who reset their password through the Biosecurity Portal using the ‘Sign in with your email address to access’ (‘Other User’) login method.

This is a notice for users of the Biosecurity Portal ‘Sign in with your email address to access’ (‘Other User’) pathway attempting to reset their password.

179-2024: Cessation of the VSPS

Who does this notice affect?

Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries—including vessel masters, freight forwarders, treatment providers, Biosecurity Industry Participants, importers, customs brokers and principal agents—associated with shipping or importing goods subject to increased intervention during the 2024-25 BMSB risk season, and shipping lines that have previously participated in the department’s Vessel Seasonal Pest Scheme (VSPS).

2024-16: Other Goods to Singapore -Transition to NEXDOC

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry that export certification to Singapore for Other Goods will transition to the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) System on Monday 2 September 2024.
