The Asian longhorned beetle is native to southern China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. It has also become established in some parts of the USA, Canada and Austria.
The Flighted Spongy Moth Complex (FSMC) - (Lymantria dispar asiatica formerly known as Asian Gypsy moth) is native to China and Far–East Russia and is commonly found in Korea and Japan.
Exotic pests, diseases and weeds can hitch a ride to Australia with vessels, shipping containers and break-bulk cargo. If they establish here they can wipe out entire food crops, harm our animals and damage our beautiful environment. Some pests could even change our way of life forever.
We manage these risks through stringent import conditions. But we also need your help.
A person may request permission to dispose of goods and/or a conveyance that is subject to biosecurity control and for which a Biosecurity Control Notice or Biosecurity Risk Management Notice has been issued.
This form is to be completed by the person seeking permission to dispose of the goods and/or conveyance. It is the responsibility of the person requesting the permission to ensure that they are legally able to dispose of the goods or conveyance in the proposed manner.
