Product testing requirements

All products produced at export registered establishments must meet the microbiological limits specified by the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code), importing country requirements and be produced in accordance with the company requirements documented in the approved arrangement (AA).

Importing countries may have their own testing requirements/ limits which may be different from those specified in the Code.

Manufacturer’s declarations of compliance for milk and milk products

​​​​What is a declaration of compliance?

A declaration of compliance is a statement made by the manufacturer regarding the eligibility of the prescribed milk and milk products being exported.

The declaration must state the specific dairy products being exported meets all the requirements of the Export Control (Milk and Milk Products) Rules 2021, and any specific importing country requirement. This shows the product is:
