Pre-border biosecurity treatment providers and clients in the import and shipping industries—including freight forwarders, importers, and customs brokers associated with importing goods that require brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) treatment during the BMSB risk season (goods manufactured in or shipped from target risk countries, that have been shipped between 1 September and 30 April (inclusive)as sea cargo)

Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period.

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned maintenance period.

All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned maintenance period.

91-2024: Services Restored: 14 May 2024 – BICON

Who does this notice affect?

All clients of the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system.

Information

Between 14:00 and 16:20 on Tuesday 14 May 2024 (AEST) there was an unplanned service disruption resulting in some users being unable to access the BICON.

This issue has now been resolved and users are able to access the BICON as normal.

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.

90-2024: Scheduled Outage: Saturday 18 May to Sunday 19 May 2024 – DAFF applications

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry web-based applications during this planned maintenance period.

Information

The department will be conducting scheduled infrastructure maintenance from 23:00 Saturday 18 May to 03:00 Sunday 19 May 2024 (AEST).

During this time, all DAFF applications may experience several intermittent outages. These applications include, but are not limited to:

2024-28: Horticulture Exports Program – Temporary Suspension of Citrus, Custard apple, Fig, Guava, Mango, Papaya, and Prunus exports to Lebanon

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise stakeholders of the temporary suspension of exports for certain commodities to Lebanon, following notification from Lebanon’s Ministry of Agriculture of revised import conditions.
