Summary: Priority pest lists, like the National Priority Plant Pests (NPPP), aim to raise awareness of the threats Australia faces from plant pests and diseases. The NPPP is a collaboration between governments which has driven national plant biosecurity preparedness since 2016. Susie provided an overview of the NPPP which were recently reviewed and endorsed by the Plant Health Committee in December 2024, and is available on the department’s website.
