Australian Government Graduate Program applications open

Are you or someone you know about to graduate from university? Thinking about career options? 

A placement in our graduate program could be just the right step to a rich and rewarding career.

Applications for our graduate development program are now open and we’re seeking graduates across diverse disciplines to join us in 2027.

We offer placements in our generalist, digital, STEM, data, legal, human resources and financial management streams.

  • Generalist (all degree disciplines, including communication, data analytics and international relations)  
  • Science (veterinary, applied science, environmental science, plant science, ecology, bology, biosecurity, animal science, soil science, entomology)  
  • Finance and Accounting (accounting, commerce)
  • ICT (information and communications technology, software engineering, business informatics, data and project management, cyber security).

Our grads are supported through mentoring and professional development, and work with seasoned industry experts in 3 workplace rotations throughout the program.

We offer various work locations, a competitive salary, generous superannuation, leave entitlements and much more.  

You’ll join a diverse and collaborative workforce with passionate people committed to supporting Australia’s agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries.

To apply, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or have been granted citizenship prior to 1 January 2027
  • have completed a bachelor’s degree, or higher qualification, before the start of the 2027 program.
