26 October 2026

The Biosecurity Funding and Expenditure Report 2025–26 (report) is now available. This marks the third year of dedicated financial reporting for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s (DAFF) biosecurity funding and expenditure.

The report complements the department’s existing public reporting by bringing together information about biosecurity funding and expenditure in one place. The 2025-26 report provides new insights on the department’s biosecurity expenditure and national biosecurity emergency responses.

The report also highlights nine case studies that show how funding is contributing to the strategic actions in the DAFF Biosecurity 2030 Roadmap. They cover partnerships with First Nations communities, offshore treatments, regional capability, workforce development, digital reform, emergency preparedness and diagnostic innovation.

Read the Biosecurity funding and expenditure report 2025–26 on the Sustainable biosecurity funding webpage.
