Nominations are now open for the 2025 Australian Biosecurity Awards. The awards celebrate individuals, groups and organisations who have made an outstanding contribution to our national biosecurity system.
Deputy Secretary for Biosecurity, Operations and Compliance Justine Saunders said the awards are an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the vital work being done to protect our environment, economy and way of life from biosecurity threats.
“Biosecurity champions make a difference through action, dedication and lasting impact,” Ms Saunders said.
“From scientists and community groups to industry leaders and government partnerships, the awards showcase innovation, leadership and collaboration.
“They provide important recognition for those who go above and beyond to protect what matters most.
“Sharing their stories promotes the importance of biosecurity and enhances our culture of biosecurity action.”
