Nominate now for the 2026 Australian Biosecurity Awards

Across Australia, people are taking action every day to protect our agriculture, environment and way of life from biosecurity threats. The Australian Biosecurity Awards celebrate these efforts by recognising the individuals, groups and organisations helping to keep Australia safe.

Nominations are now open for the 2026 awards. Do you know someone doing great work to protect Australia’s biosecurity?

Recognising impact across Australia

Past award recipients highlight the wide range of people involved in Australia’s biosecurity efforts and the impact of their work.

Previous winners have included:

  • Primary producers strengthening on-farm biosecurity to protect livestock, crops and regional industries.
  • Researchers and scientists improving understanding of emerging threats and helping Australia prepare. 
  • Collaborative teams delivering programs to manage invasive species and environmental biosecurity threats.
  • Community and First Nations organisations leading locally driven initiatives that protect Country, biodiversity and livelihoods.
