Shape the future of agriculture at ABARES Outlook 2027

  • Media release
  • ABARES
29 October 2026

Tickets are now available for ABARES Outlook 2027, the leading forum on the future of Australian agriculture, fisheries and forestry.

The conference will be held on 2-3 March 2027 at Hotel Realm, Canberra and online. Early bird pricing is available until 11 December 2026.

The 2027 theme, “Who will shape the future of Australian agriculture?”, will explore the forces shaping the sector’s next chapter, and what it will take to keep Australia’s agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries productive, profitable and globally competitive.

ABARES Acting Executive Director David Galeano said ABARES Outlook 2027 will bring together industry, government and the research community to discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead.

“Consumer expectations, technology, global markets, and sustainability pressures are all changing the way agriculture operates. The choices we make now will define the sector’s future,” he said.

A new networking dinner will provide delegates with further opportunities to build connections, exchange ideas and continue conversations in a relaxed setting.

The two-day program will also include discussions on international trade, food security, land use, fisheries, forestry, productivity and innovation.

“The conference will draw on ABARES’ latest insights, analysis, commodity data and forecasts to help support informed decision-making,” Mr Galeano said.

Take advantage of early bird pricing and secure your place at ABARES Outlook 2027 today. To view ticket options and register, visit agriculture.gov.au/event/abares-outlook.
