Farm Household Allowance data dashboard

Australian farmers are among the most productive and innovative in the world. Across the 87,800 farm businesses in Australia, our farmers are constantly assessing and adapting to change.

Farm Household Allowance (FHA) provides help to eligible farmers, and their partners, experiencing financial hardship. It offers planning and training for long-term financial improvements.

FHA is a package of assistance available to cash-strapped farming families, regardless of the source of the hardship. The assistance includes up to 4 years of fortnightly income support in every 10-year period. The first 10-year period ran between 1 July 2014 and 30 June 2024. The second 10-year period is from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2034.

Note: from January 2025 the reported granted figures from July 2024 changed. Previously reported were new customers only, from January 2025 the figures represent any customer who claimed and were granted from 1 July 2024, regardless of if they had previously been granted FHA.
