2021-16: NEXDOC Dairy – Transition period between EXDOC and NEXDOC and registration reminder

Date of issue: 13 May 2021

Date of effect: 17 May 2021

Attention:

Registered dairy exporters, manufacturers, agents, freight forwarders, approved export permit issuers and EDI users.

Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment - Central and Regional offices.

Purpose

To notify stakeholders that the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system will replace the Export Documentation (EXDOC) system for dairy from Monday 17 May 2021. This is a reminder about registration and the transition period between EXDOC and NEXDOC.

Key points

As of 17 May 2021, your software will now use NEXDOC to request:

  • export permits, now called a request for export (REX) (previously known as a request for permit (RFP))
  • health certificates, and
  • correspondence between dairy stakeholders and the department.

You will have until 5.00pm AEST Sunday 13 June 2021 to finalise any existing dairy RFP's in EXDOC before the system is closed for this commodity. This does not apply to China certification and a separate industry advice notice has been issued on this https://www.agriculture.gov.au/export/controlled-goods/dairy/din/2021-11.

For more information on NEXDOC:

  • visit our website what has changed in NEXDOC
  • talk to your software provider
  • contact the helpdesk on (02) 6272 4700.

If you have a question about an RFP that was processed prior to 17 May 2021, email EXDOC.Helpdesk@aff.gov.au using the existing heading protocol.

Tokens

You should have been issued with your requested tokens. You will need to go into the online services portal and retrieve your tokens. Tokens cannot be used until your third-party software package that will communicate with NEXDOC goes live on 17 May 2021.

During this registration process, you may be asked for the same information more than once. This is because these requests can be processed in isolation.

If you have not received your tokens, please contact the helpdesk on (02) 6272 4700 as soon as possible for further assistance.

Software users

The department continues to work with software providers and have advised them of the changes to key dates in relation to the rollout of NEXDOC for dairy.

It is important that you also work closely with your software provider to ensure that your system needs are met and you are well positioned to commence using NEXDOC for dairy on 17 May 2021.

If you have any further queries, please contact the Enhanced Traceability Project via EnhancedTraceabilityProject@aff.gov.au
