Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) - Central and Regional offices.

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry that export certification for Other Goods to all markets (other than China, Macau, South Korea and Hong Kong) will move to the new NEXDOC system from 7 April 2025.

From this date, manual certificate applications (EX188B, EX188M and M418) for Other Goods will only be available for China, Macau, South Korea and Hong Kong.

Summary of changes and key points

NEXDOC Registration is now open for exporters of Other Goods.

The Australian Government is growing Australian agriculture exports by reforming export systems and functions. The department is transitioning Other Goods products onto its new web-based export management system, the Next Export Documentation System, NEXDOC. These products include the following non-prescribed other goods:

  • Processed foods, ingredients, and beverages
  • Edible vitamins and supplements
  • Cosmetics and personal care products
  • Animal feed and feed additives (non-meat derived)
  • Fertilisers
  • Shells.

Export certificate applications for all markets (other than China, Macau, South Korea and Hong Kong) will move to the new NEXDOC system from 7 April 2025.

From this date, manual applications for export certification for Other Goods to these countries will not be accepted with the exception of replacement certificates for certificates originally issued manually.

These countries are in addition to Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Canada and the United States which have already moved to the NEXDOC system.

Register on NEXDOC

If you are an exporter of Other Goods, you will need to register via the online service portal. If you are a registered NEXDOC user for another commodity, you will need to add the Other Goods commodity to your account.
