Middle East Regional Conflict

The department understands that the Middle East Regional Conflict is impacting the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors across Australia.

The Australian Government is working together to address these issues.

Fuel and fertiliser

The department is aware of pressures on fuel and fertiliser supply and is engaging directly with sector representatives through government forums and roundtable discussions to listen to industry concerns and keep them informed.

We are working to understand on ground impacts, address supply and demand pressure points, and other issues as they emerge.

The Prime Minister has established a fuel supply taskforce that will coordinate fuel security and strengthen supply chain resilience in partnership with the states and territories.

For more information visit Appointment of Fuel Supply Taskforce Coordinator.

Information on Australia’s fuel security can also be found on the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) website - Australia's fuel security or Minimum stockholding obligation (MSO) for liquid fuels: statistics.
