Fish 2014-09 Manual of Importing country requirements (MICoR) - recent updates

This Market Access Advice is to advise of recent content changes in the Manual of Importing Country Requirements (MICoR) database.

The MICoR website​. After clicking on the appropriate commodities group, click on the ‘apply for access’ link. Please note that the information on MICoR may not reflect recent changes to importing country requirements. The Department of Agriculture encourages all exporters to contact officials of the importing country, either through the importer or directly, to confirm that their product meets the current requirements of the importing country.

Information for the following products has been updated in MICoR:

Meat & Animal By-products
Country Commodity Section Explanation
Canada Rendered meals 1.4, 5.5, 6.1, 8.5 Revised certification, market access, sourcing and labelling requirements for rendered meals exported to Canada. Changes made to reflect the requirements of Canadian legislation and facilitate the export of poultry meals sourced from New South Wales, following the removal of Canada’s import restrictions on Australian poultry products.
Hong Kong Deer antler velvet 8.4 Revised certification for deer antler velvet. Changes made to reflect amendments to the Australian Standard.
Japan Deer antler velvet 8.4 Revised certification for deer antler velvet. Changes made to reflect amendments to the Australian Standard.
Russia Petfood 8.3 Certificates issued for petfood to Russia must be printed on official government security paper.
Russia Hides and skins 8.2 Certification for hides and skins to Russia is now only available electronically (i.e. through EXDOC).
USA Animal-derived materials intended for animal consumption 1.1 Advice all animal-derived materials intended for animal consumption require an import permit.

Russia Fish 7 Manual certificates issued for Russia must be printed on official government security paper.
