The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), Republic of Korea, has advised that a tender invitation for 8037 tonnes of processing rice will be released on Wednesday 4 January 2006. Final specifications for this tender are currently being negotiated. This tender comprises the balance of rice to be provided to Korea under Australia’s country specific quota (CSQ).
An invitation to tender for the provision of 993 tonnes of table rice under the CSQ was previously issued on Wednesday 21 December 2005. Information on these tenders is available on the Korean side only on the Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation website.
The tender documents specify AQIS as a certifying agent approved to issue non-GMO certification in relation to these tenders.
