52-2015 - Cost Recovery Taskforce – Postponed implementation of redesigned fees and charges

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to clients of the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (the department) who import/ export goods to and from Australia.  

What has changed?

Revised biosecurity and export certification fees and charges will come into effect on 1 December 2015 following a decision to postpone implementation of the new arrangements.

The decision is in response to comments received on the draft fees and charges during the public consultation process. This will allow clients to make changes to their own systems and processes to give effect to the redesigned fees and charges. Please refer to the department media release for further details.
