Purpose
The purpose of this Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise exporters that the Government of India has extended the quantitative restriction on the import of all peas (Pisum sativum) from 30 June 2018 to 30 September 2018.
Summary of changes and key points
The Government of India, Director-General Foreign Trade, issued Notification No.15/2015-20 extending the quantitative restriction on the import of all peas (Pisum sativum) for another three months until 30 September 2018. In effect, this notification will ban the import of yellow peas, green peas, dun peas and kaspa peas [0713 10 10] into India until 30 September 2018 as the existing import quota has already been met.
Exporter responsibilities
Exporters should be aware of import quotas when preparing goods for export to this market.
