Live animal import fees and charges

Animals coming into Australia must spend time at specially equipped biosecurity stations to ensure they are free of disease before being released. Fees are charged by the biosecurity station for housing and maintaining your animal whilst undergoing a period of post entry quarantine. Other fees may include permit application, animal inspection and document clearance fees.

Full details of fees and charges can be found in the department’s charging guidelines.
