The Biosecurity Commons is a biosecurity modelling platform that has demonstrated proof of concept. It launched in May this year and is currently available for use as a beta version.

Who does this notice affect?

CAPEC clients (DHL, FedEx and UPS) and clients who utilise the department’s Self-Assessed Clearance Paperless (SAC Paperless) system.

Information

Due to infrastructure maintenance, processing of incoming Self-Assessed Clearance (SAC) entries will be delayed from 14:15 to 15:15 Sunday 17 September 2023 (AEST).

All incoming messages and documentation will be queued and sent at the conclusion of the outage.

Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal.

Detail:

The unplanned service disruption to the Biosecurity Portal has been resolved. Digital Identity/myGovID clients can now access the Biosecurity Portal as normal.

The department has identified an issue with extra certificate requests in the NEXDOC system.
