All importers and customs brokers who lodge consignments of green coffee beans under tariff 0901.1 to the department for biosecurity assessment, and biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under the department’s class 19.2 automatic entry processing for commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangement.

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned outage.
To support system maintenance, BICON will be unavailable from 23:00 to 23:59 Saturday 14 October 2023 (AEDT).
Clients are advised to await completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access this service.

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned maintenance period.
The outage to the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) will no longer occur. The maintenance will be rescheduled for a later date.

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise exporters of honey and apiculture products of planned outages for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s (the department’s) Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system.
We have completed the final report of the import risk review for dehydrated and pre-sterilised microbiological media.

To inform exporters that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has paused the deployment of independent observers on livestock vessels to all countries in the Middle East region due to the currently uncertain security situation.
Western Australian avocado exporters have regained market access to Thailand. On 11 May 2023, the Director General of the Thai Department of Agriculture approved import conditions for Western Australian Hass avocados.
