Point-of-care tests

Also known as pen-side tests, point-of-care (POC) tests are usually carried out in the field, or away from a central laboratory. This type of testing is useful for the early detection of pests and diseases by producing quick preliminary diagnostic results in a simple user-friendly way. An example of this type of test is the SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen tests for humans. The links below apply to testing for notifiable/reportable animal diseases.
