Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to advise industry:

141-2023: Onshore clearance of foreign force military equipment imported for Combined Military Activity (CMA) Talisman Sabre 2023

Who does this notice affect?

All foreign force personnel, brokers, commercial operators and biosecurity industry participants involved with the onshore clearance of foreign force military equipment imported via air or sea freight for use in the Talisman Sabre 2023 (TS23) Combined Military Activity (CMA).

Who does this notice affect?

Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries — including imported food stakeholders, customs brokers, freight forwarders, vessel masters, biosecurity industry participants and shipping agents.

What has changed?

The department has completed its comprehensive review of the biosecurity cost recovery arrangement. The outcome proposed changes to existing regulatory charging to align fees and charges with the cost to deliver biosecurity and imported food activities.
