UK barley quota

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry manages 10 quotas under the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (A-UK FTA), including barley.

Australian exporters can export up to 7,000 tonnes of barley at a 0% tariff rate.

Access to the quotas is on a quarterly first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis until the available quota amount has been exhausted.

Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who will be required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal during this planned outage.

Information

Due to urgent system maintenance, the Biosecurity Portal will be unavailable from 12:30 to 12:32 Friday 24 February 2023 (AEDT).

Clients may not be able to login to the Biosecurity Portal during the period or perform normal operations during this period.

39-2023: Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS) offline forms revised for commercial vessels to report arrival and voyage changes

Who does this notice affect?

All vessel owners, operators, masters, and shipping agents who represent international commercial vessels including cruise vessels, preparing for arrival in Australian territory, or reporting a voyage change.

What has changed?

The Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS) offline forms for commercial vessels have all been revised.

All vessel owners, operators, masters, and shipping agents who represent international commercial vessels, preparing for arrival in Australian territory.

What has changed?

An amended ballast water report and offline forms will be released in MARS on 24 February 2023 to include revised ballast water questions.

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned maintenance period.

Due to scheduled maintenance, the Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS) will be unavailable from 23:00 Thursday 23 February to 03:00 Friday 24 February 2023 (AEDT).
