34-2023: Increased intervention on imported bulk mined and chemical fertilisers from the People’s Republic of China

Who does this notice affect?

Biosecurity industry participants, such as vessel owners, operators, shipping agents and importers involved in the importation process of bulk mined and chemical (natural or synthetic) fertiliser.

What has changed?

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (department) has recently observed an increase in contamination incidents in consignments of bulk imported mined and chemical fertiliser originating from some supply chains located in the People’s Republic of China.

32-2023: Non-commercial vessels (yachts) arriving in Australian territory with animals on board

Who does this notice affect?

All non-commercial vessel owners, operators, master’s, arriving in Australian territory to visit, stay or returning Australians.

Any shipping agents who represent international non-commercial vessels arriving in Australian territory.

Non-commercial vessels include yachts, pleasurecraft and motorcruisers.

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned maintenance period.

All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned maintenance period.

2023-04: NEXDOC planned outage – 22 February 2023 – Honey and Apiculture products

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to notify exporters of honey and apiculture products of a planned outage for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s (the department’s) Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system from 9pm to 11pm AEDT on Wednesday 22 February 2023.
