All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned maintenance period.
Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, BICON users may experience several intermittent outages from 16:00 to 23:59 Sunday 25 September 2022 (AEST).
Users are advised to frequently save any in-progress permit applications during this maintenance period.

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, the Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS) will be unavailable from 23:00 Friday 23 September to 02:00 Saturday 24 September 2022 (AEST).
Clients are advised to await the completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access this service.

This Market Access Advice (MAA) is for export registered establishments who hold a current listing for China for milk and milk products or infant formula that are exported to China.
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has completed its review of live sheep exported by sea to, or through, the Middle East during the Northern Hemisphere summer (1 May to 31 October).
The Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (ASEL) outlines the minimum animal health and welfare conditions that exporters must meet when exporting livestock. The current version that exporters must comply with is ASEL 3.3, which commenced on 30 November 2023.
