To notify exporters of new market access for southern rock lobster to the Republic of Korea.

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to provide updated advice to food processing and storage facilities handling product for export to China on registration numbers and labelling requirements. This IAN also provides advice on issues with exports and detained consignments arising from the implementation of China’s requirements for imported food.

Changes to the farmed prawns levy and charge rate – effective 1 January 2022

Notice issued: 17 December 2021

From 1 January 2022, the total levy and charge rate for farmed prawns will be set at 6.65 cents per kilogram. This is due to the reactivation of the white spot disease repayment (WSDR) component of the farmed prawns levy and charge which will be set at 3.01 cents per kilogram.

Changes to the levy and charge rates are shown in the table below:
