Memorandum of Understanding
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the department and DT Global was signed on 6 October 2021. This MoU formally recognises the department’s partnership with the Pacific Horticultural and Agricultural Market Access program (PHAMA Plus) which is managed by DT Global.
PHAMA Plus is an Australian Government initiative, co-funded by the New Zealand Government.

Who does this notice affect?
This notice is of interest to New Zealand exporters, New Zealand's National Plant Protection Organisation (NPPO) and importers (and their customs brokers) of fresh loose and truss tomatoes from New Zealand for human consumption.

Who does this notice affect?
All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned outage.
All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned outage.
All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned outage.
Communique 21 July 2021
The fourth Tasmanian RFA Annual Meeting of Officials took place by videoconference on 21 July 2020. The meeting was attended by officials from the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, the Tasmanian Government Department of State Growth, and the Tasmanian Government Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment.
This meeting satisfies the requirements of clause 9A of the Tasmanian RFA:

Ranger Capability Building Grants Program
Indigenous rangers are critical to Australia’s ability to maintain an early detection system for exotic pests and diseases in remote coastal areas across the north. Increasing over time, current services provided by rangers include participating in animal, plant and aquatic health surveys, insect trapping/surveillance, plant host mapping, collection and destruction of biosecurity risk material and biosecurity awareness activities in remote communities, utilising their unique skills and abilities.
