All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment.
An unplanned service disruption is preventing some clients from accessing the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS). Other clients are unable to submit lodgements.
The department is investigating the issue as a high priority and apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries including importers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, transport companies, shipping lines, stevedores and any other operators in the sea container supply and logistics chain that are responsible for reporting or managing sea containers arriving into Australia.
European Union Cattle Accreditation Scheme (EUCAS) accredited properties are prohibited from using products containing oestradiol 17β or its ester-like derivatives on their EUCAS properties. To ensure ongoing compliance with this requirement, the European Union Vendor Declaration (EUVD) has been amended to include a declaration on the treatment history of the European Union (EU) eligible cattle.

The second NSW RFAs Annual Meeting of Officials took place on 29 October 2020. The meeting was attended by officials from the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment and the NSW Government Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (which includes the Environment Protection Authority and the Environment, Energy and Science group), Department of Regional NSW (which includes NSW Department of Primary Industries and Local Land Services) and the NSW Natural Resources Commission.

Improving access to imported food safety requirements
Imported food safety requirements are now included in the Biosecurity Import Conditions system (BICON).
