Exporters and processing establishments are reminded that it is a legislative requirement of the Export Control (Fish and Fish Products) Orders 2005 (Fish Orders) that fish for export are described by the scientific name of the fish and/or the Australian Fish Name of the fish as it appears in the Australian Fish Names Standard (AFNS).

2013-13 Update - Export restrictions for rock lobster from Tasmania

This notice replaces Industry Advice Notice 2013-10, issued by the Department of Agriculture in 22 August 2013.
The Department of Agriculture has been advised by the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water & Environment (DPIPWE) of the following:
1. The Tasmanian Rock Lobster Fishery Eastern Region will be opened to commercial rock lobster fishing on 25 November 2013.
