Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise that the department will be closing a number of PO Boxes around the country and will be using a single primary address for the receipt of all departmental mail.

31-2020 - Reminder: Inspection arrangements changing for imported fresh produce from New Zealand and the United States from 1 May 2020

Who does this notice affect?

Importers, approved arrangements, freight forwarders and brokers that deal with imported fresh produce from New Zealand and the United States.

What has changed?

This is a reminder that from 1 May 2020, the department will no longer be providing offshore pre-shipment inspections (OPI) for horticultural fresh produce exports from New Zealand and the United States.

NEXDOC: Dairy implementation delay (2020-04)

Registered dairy exporters, manufacturers, agents, freight forwarders, approved export permit issuers and EDI users.

Purpose

To notify exporters of dairy products that the proposed transition of EXDOC to NEXDOC, will not occur in February as expected.

Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned outage period.

All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned outage period.

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned outage period.
