To advise departmental staff and industry of the Implementation date for tamper-indicative seal and bolt seal in accordance with the legislative changes in Part 13 section 13.10 Tamper-indicative seal and section 13.11 Bolt seal.
This notice applies to all export registered and relevant export listed establishments, and department staff.
The Brisbane levies regional office will cease its operations on Monday 16 May 2016. Levy payers and agents based in Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia will need to contact the relevant levies regional office (see table below) for all future enquiries.
New password requirements for Levies Online will be introduced from May 2015. These will ensure passwords meet Australian Government Information Security Manual requirements.
The introduction of the seed cotton levy and export charge will ensure that all harvested seed cotton that is intended for export has a levy or charge applied.
Starting 1 April 2017, the marketing and the Plant Health Australia (PHA) component of the banana levy will increase. The overall rate increase for the banana levy is shown in the table below:
