Information and or briefings on the natural temperate grassland of the south eastern highlands that were prepared ahead of meetings between the Minister and the Prime Minister and/or their staff. In seeking this information I request the following:

• All briefs, including drafts circulated within the department
• All briefs, including drafts, supplied to the Minister or the Prime Minister and/or their offices
• The entire briefing pack prepared for the meeting referenced in departmental emails dated Tuesday 30 January, 2018. For your reference, please see Question on Notice 230 from supplementary budget estimates https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Senate_estimates/ec/2019-…. The entire briefing pack in this instance means the brief on the grasslands plus any other briefings on other issues relevant to the Environment portfolio that were prepared as part of a package for this meeting. I include drafts in this request. For the avoidance of doubt, I do not require any briefings related to issues that sit within the Energy portfolio. 
• I also request any correspondence related to the above grasslands briefing: this means any requests from the Minister, the Prime Minister or staff in either of their offices for this information, any follow up correspondence from the Minister, the Prime Minister or staff in either of their offices once this information was supplied, and any internal departmental correspondence relating to the preparation of this grasslands brief or any follow-up information (including emails to and from staff). When I say correspondence, I am referring to emails, meeting records, diary records, notes from meetings, notes from phone calls and any messages (whatsapp, sms etc). 
• Any other records of meetings between the Minister and the Prime Minister regarding the natural temperate grassland of the south eastern highlands or the compliance case against Jam Land Pty Ltd. In requesting records I also ask for any internal departmental correspondence relating to such meetings.
• Any other additional briefs on either the grasslands or the compliance case against Jam Land Pty Ltd that were prepared for meetings between the Minister/his office and the Prime Minister/his office. In requesting this, I also request any internal departmental correspondence relating to the preparation of such briefs.

Briefings to the Federal Environment Minister and/or Federal Government, produced since 1 Jan 2016, in relation to:
a.          The risks to critical infrastructure and/or essential services associated with the impacts of climate change and associated impacts and/or consequences of more frequent or severe bushfires.
b.          The risks to Australia’s economy associated with the impacts of climate change and associated impacts and/or consequences of more frequent or severe bushfires.

On 9 December 2019, Andrew McNee, Assistant Secretary Assessments and Governance Branch, as delegate of the Minister for the Environment, decided the assessment approach and controlling provisions for the North Galilee Water Scheme (EPBC 2019/8508). The decision was published on the EPBC Act referrals list website here.  

I request access to those documents within the package of documents prepared by the Department (normally called the ‘decision brief’) that the delegate considered in making the decision.

I seek documents including emails, photographs and video footage associated with filming of the removal of the Uluru climbing chain and summit cairn in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

1. All correspondence between the Department of Energy and Environment and the UNESCO World Heritage Centre between 17 January 2019 and present containing the words "Blue Mountains".

2. All correspondence sent and received between Heritage Branch and the following parties between 1 March 2019 and present:

(a) NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment;
(b) WaterNSW
(c) SMEC Holdings
(d) Infrastructure NSW

that discuss the methodology for the assessment of the proposal to raise the Warragamba Dam wall.

3. All correspondence and advice between Environment Approvals branch and any NSW Government agencies, NSW Government consultants or NSW Ministers offices between 1 March 2019 and present containing the words "Warragamba".

The scope of the request relates to documents for the EPBC Approved Project: 2011/6181 SunWater Limited/Water management and use/Jackson-Wandoan Road to Nathan Road, Taroom/QLD/Reedy Creek to Glebe Weir Pipeline Project.

Document(s):

1. The most recent version of the Biodiversity Offset Strategy submitted as a requirement of Condition 6 of the Conditions of Approval (EPBC 2011/6181) (approved on 2 May 2013 or subsequent revised documents).

2. The most recent version(s) of any Biodiversity Offset Management Plans that have been approved or accepted by DOEE as defined in the Biodiversity Offset Strategy (Condition 6 of the Conditions of Approval: 2011/6181).

Please limit documents to only those that outline monitoring and reporting commitments for the Biodiversity Offset for the above project.

3. Documents submitted to DOEE that report on the progress/management/condition of Biodiversity Offsets, as defined in the Biodiversity Offset Strategy (Condition 6 of the Conditions of Approval).

Please limit documents to only those that report on monitoring for the 2018 and 2019 periods.

4. Compliance Report required under Condition 10 of the Conditions of Approval (EPBC 2011/6181) for the 2018-19 period (due on 3 August 2019).
     a.   Please also include documentary evidence providing proof of the date of publication (also required under Condition 10).

All communications, documents, letters, emails, meeting notes, memos and telephone notes passing between the Department and the Environment Council of Central Queensland Inc between 21 December 2017 and 21 December 2018 in respect of Kingvale Station (EPBC 2016/7751) and NSD 1788/2018.

All communications, documents, letters, emails, meeting notes, memos and telephone notes in relation to any meetings, conversations and communications between the Minister and any non­government organisation(s) between 21 December 2018 and 31 October 2019 in respect of Kingvale Station (EPBC 2016/7751)

1. Communications from Angus Taylor MP including letters, emails, notes of phone calls, text messages or diary entries of conversations about the Crudine project and any responses from the department or minister or his office. Please confine the search to 1 January 2016 to 14 March 2017.

2. Communications from the former minister Josh Frydenberg or his office regarding the project including emails, notes of phone calls or requests for briefings and any replies from the department in response to those requests. Please confine the search to 19 July 2016 to 14 March 2017.

I do not require documents relating to arrangements for site visits or meetings. However, I request any reports or summaries of the outcome of the site visit. I do not require documents that are available on the website.

3. Requests for advice from the Minister or his office on whether and how the project can be blocked under the EPBC Act and responses from the department, including internal discussion. Please confine the search to 19 July 2016 to 14 March 2017.

4. Emails (internal, thlrd party or involving the minister's office) that relate to the environmental history of CWP Renewables and related companies between 1 June 2016 and 1 July 2016.

Communications to the minister for the environment or the minister for energy and emissions reduction or their offices including briefing notes, letters, emails and external reports or advice ( such as the letter from the Former Emergency leaders for Climate Change) about the likely outlook for 2019-20 the bushfire season and any responses to these.

Please confine the search from 1 April 2019 to the date of this request.
