Our Overseas Agriculture Counsellor Network

About

Our Overseas Agricultural Counsellor Network plays a vital role in advancing Australia’s trade and market access priorities by promoting Australia’s agricultural interests and building strong connections with government and industry stakeholders in key international markets.

Spread across 15 international locations, our highly skilled agriculture counsellors work alongside the department’s biosecurity, exports, and trade and market access teams to develop new market openings for Australian farmers and exporters, improve technical market access opportunities, and represent Australia at key international meetings and events.

Map showing the international presence of Australian agriculture counsellors, with locations and number of counsellors identified in key regions including North Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and Europe. Larger posts are in Washington DC, Beijing, Jakarta and Brussels.
