56-2022: New biosecurity first point of entry determinations for Christmas Island and Norfolk Island ports

Who does this notice affect?

First point of entry (FPOE) operators, vessel operators, shipping agents, importers, brokers and others.

What has changed?

New FPOE determinations commenced on 16 March 2022, replacing transitional determinations previously in place at two FPOE locations. New determinations are in place for:

Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during the outage period.

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances required to report pre-arrival information during the outage period.

The unplanned outage to the following systems has been resolved. These applications are now available and functioning as normal.

2022-20: Bulk Vessels – Factsheet and information forums on the Accredited Grain Surveyor Assurance scheme

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise that a key information factsheet on the Accredited Grain Surveyor Assurance (AGSA) scheme is now available on the Australasian Institute of Marine Surveyors (AIMS) website. Information forums will be held in preparation for commencement.
