Due to an issue in the department’s IT infrastructure, BICON is currently experiencing a service disruption.

Clients may be unable to:

All clients attempting to contact the department via phone. 

Information

The unplanned service disruption to the department’s telephony services has now been resolved and clients can now contact the department via phone.

Action

No action required. The department apologies for any inconvenience caused.

43-2022: Scheduled Outage: Friday 25 March to Saturday 26 March 2022 – BICON impacted, COLS, OPS and PEBS unavailable

Who does this notice affect?

All clients attempting to submit permit applications and access invoices using the Department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system during this planned outage.

All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned outage.

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned outage.

42-2022: Service Disruption: Sunday 27 March 2022 - BICON

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, BICON users may experience several intermittent outages from 16:00 to 23:59 Sunday 27 March 2022 (AEDT).

Action

Users are advised to frequently save any in-progress permit applications during this maintenance period.

2022-02: Changes to applying for export certification to export honey and bee products to Malaysia

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry that export certification for honey and apiculture products to Malaysia will be moved to the Next Export Documentation System (NEXDOC) from 28 March 2022 and manual certification applications will no longer be available for this market.
