Members

Dr Beverley Henry (Chair) is a Principal Research Fellow and consultant with the Queensland University of Technology and co-convenor of the Primary Industries Adaptation Research Network. Dr Henry was previously manager for Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change with Meat and Livestock Australia and Principal Scientist with the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Water.

Mr Graeme Anderson is a climate extension specialist with the Victorian Department of Primary Industries. Mr Anderson is a member of the research executive guiding the strategic direction of the Victorian Primary Industries Climate Challenges Centre, has carbon share-farming experience and leads an award winning cross industry extension program, which has reached 20,000 rural people in the past four years.

Ms Lucinda Corrigan runs a beef genetics business in the Murray Valley of NSW and is a member of the Meat and Livestock Australia board of directors. She is chairman of the NSW Primary Industries Ministerial Advisory Council and former deputy chairman of the Cooperative Research Centre for Future Farm Industries. Ms Corrigan is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation.

Ms Julie Gaglia is the Assistant Secretary responsible for the Climate Change Policy Branch within the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Ms Gaglia has worked previously on water policy reform and climate change in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Dr Rick Llewellyn is a Senior Research Scientist and Research Group Leader with CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems. He leads several projects in farming systems improvement and determining drivers of land management change. Dr Llewellyn was a lecturer in agricultural systems and extension at the University of Western Australia and has held management roles with grower group organisations in West Australia, South Australia and Victoria.

Ms Jeanette Long is a director and consultant for Ag Consulting Co facilitating a range of training programs across rural Australia. She is also a partner in two family farming operations. She is a former chair of the Agriculture Excellence Alliance South Australia (SA) and board member of Grains Research Development Corporation (GRDC), was the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation Rural Woman of the Year 2004 SA and the national project manager for the GRDC funded project - Partners in Grain - from 2004 to 2011.

Professor Jim Pratley is a Research Professor of Agriculture at Charles Sturt University with particular expertise in agronomy and related areas. He is a member of the Research Committee of the Australian Farm Institute and has served on the boards of the Cooperative Research Centres of Viticulture, Sustainable Rice Production, Weed Management Systems and Plant Based Management of Dryland Salinity.

Dr William Ryan is a member of the Grains Research and Development Corporation Western Panel. He is chair of the Agricultural Produce Commission. Dr Ryan also works as a consultant on overseas projects with AGWEST International, the international arm of the Western Australian Department of Agriculture and Food. He was the CEO of the Kondinin Group from 2003–2008.
