The EMIAC Food Safety Animal Health Subcommittee provides a strategic forum for discussion between industry and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the regulator) relating to technical issues in the development of programs and research, the assessment of slaughter and boning process systems, ante and post mortem inspection, animal health surveillance, developing objective data to monitor process control and deliver food safety, animal health and market access outcomes relevant to the export meat industry.

Meetings
