To support system maintenance, the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) will be unavailable from 23:00 Thursday 01 September to 01:00 Friday 02 September 2022 (AEST).

Information

Due to a technical system issue, some documents submitted through the ‘Add Documents’ feature in the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) are not being recorded against the original lodgement.

157-2022: Biosecurity priorities and impact for cargo clearance delays

Who does this notice affect?

All customs brokers, importers, biosecurity industry participants, and food importers who have premises that departmental officers may attend (for inspections, surveillance, or other purposes). 

What has changed?

Earlier this year, the department advised of delays in assessment, booking and inspection services in Victoria and New South Wales, largely due to a changing biosecurity risk profile and higher overall cargo volumes (11.7 per cent higher in FY 2021/22).

156-2022: Cat and Dog imports to Australia – Christmas shutdown arrangements

This notice is for all airlines, freight forwarders, pet transport companies and importers of cats and dogs to Australia.

What has changed?

Companion animal services will remain fully operational until COB Friday, 24 December 2022 and will re-open at the commencement of business on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
