Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned outage.

Information

The department will be performing scheduled system maintenance from 23:00 Saturday 11 July to 01:45 Sunday 12 July 2020 (AEST).

COLS will be available during this time, however entries lodged during the above maintenance window will not be retrievable by COLS.

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to scheduled system maintenance, BICON users may experience several intermittent outages of up to 5 minutes between 22:30 and 23:30 Saturday 11 July 2020 (AEST).

Action

Users are advised to frequently save any in-progress permit applications during this maintenance period.

107-2020 – Amendment to 101-2020 – Current list of countries able to meet Australia’s interim import conditions for uncooked prawns from 1 July 2020

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to importers of uncooked prawns and associated industry participants and retailers.

What has changed?

From 1 July 2020, all uncooked prawns imported for human consumption must be deveined (removal of the digestive tract that remains along the dorsal ridge of each prawn to at least the last shell segment).
