APSC Capability Review of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry – September 2023

The Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) undertook a Capability Review of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) between May and August 2023 as part of the Australian Government’s broader APS reform agenda.

The report identifies 11 priority areas for capability improvement across the 5 domains of the capability review framework – leadership and culture, collaboration, delivery, people and resourcing and risk.

The report has been published on the APSC website.

The department has already commenced work to address the findings and will develop an action plan over the next few months. This action plan will be provided to the APSC by the end of 2023.
