About the Strategy
Our Enterprise Evaluation Strategy 2026–2028 explains how we check what’s working and what needs improving across our programs. It helps us use good evidence, plan better, and learn from what we do. It also highlights the importance of working respectfully with First Nations people and aligning with best practice. Overall, it supports better outcomes for Australia’s agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries.
It has three objectives:
- Strong leadership and governance for evaluation
- Better skills and practices for evaluation
- Making evaluation part of program planning and policy development
